Artist Statement
My work explores the contemporary intersections of technology, identity, and societal pressures. Through highly constructed, satirical self-portraiture, I investigate the exhausting and often absurd friction between authentic selfhood and the rigid beauty or lifestyle standards imposed by a pervasive digital culture. By staging intimate performances with everyday consumer objects designed to "remodel" or "perfect" the body, my practice highlights the alienation of living under an algorithmic feed, utilizing dark humor as a critical tool to question what it means to exist under a constant digital gaze.
